**Guest Post** Erin from To Blush or Not to Blush does Fall (Autumn) Trends

Day 5 and my one and only American guest blogger is here, shes only been blogging for just over a month and she's doing a fab job; blogging about everything from Sephora hauls to Orange people. Take a look at her blog over at To Blush or Not to Blush

Hello Lover,

Ah, my favorite season is upon us…autumn. It’s just the perfect season. It’s a season for snuggling, boots, and pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING. I love my pumpkin. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!, etc. Is anyone else’s mouth watering right now? What the hell was I even talking about? …………… Oh yeah, autumn.
Besides being the great season of the pumpkin, it also happens to be my favorite makeup season. Everything is darker, vampier, smokier. In my opinion it is the single sexiest makeup season of the year. And my opinion counts, because I’m writing this. So there ;).
Because autumn is upon us (yay!) and because I’ll use any excuse to play with my makeup, I wanted to showcase three fall trends for this year. These trends aren’t really anything new, as with fashion makeup trends are often recycled. But they are fun all the same and I am seriously crushing on what’s hot this coming season.
Mixing metals
Don’t stop with jewelry! Mixing metallics on the eyes is equally as fun. I used a pewter-y silver on the lid and up into the crease and a vibrant gold on the lower lash line and inner corner of the eyes. For some extra intensity, layer metallic liners underneath to really amp up the trend. I think it is perfect for a night out or a party. Speaking of, people always talk about makeup for parties. I must never get invited to parties. Have a party and invite me, kay? I’ll rock this look.

Vampy lips
Spring and summer is all about the pink and coral lips. In the fall, we get to take a walk on the wild side and get a little crazy. I don’t sport red lips often (probably because no one invites me to parties) but I love it all the same. Use a dark red liner and a blue based brownish red lipstick to achieve this look. I personally think a matte finish makes it edgier. A little trick to keep bold lips lasting longer is using a liner, applying lipstick, dabbing, dusting on a translucent powder, and applying more lipstick. This will keep your lips more kiss-proof and drink-proof :).

Bold brows
I bow down to the gods who decide what’s hot and what’s not for this one (anyone know who they are by the way? I have a few words to say to them about rompers). Embrace your freaking brows! Camilla Belle is a fabulous example of this. I don’t know why thin brows ever became a thing, but it is time to squash that now. Have big brows? Flaunt them. Have bitty brows? That’s why brow pencils and powders are for ladies. Bold brows give a strong, sharp appearance. They really do frame your face.

Well that’s all for now ladies, I’m off to find something pumpkin flavored to stuff my face with. It was great filling in for the lovely Jade. Enjoy your fall and embrace the fab fall trends we’ve got this season. And fill up on pumpkin flavored everything before winter kicks in and life sucks again. Tootle loo!
