Rimmel Blush in Pink Rose £3.99 Boots
If you read my haul post the other day you will have seen that I got a Rimmel blush for the bargain price of £2.50 (usually £3.99), recently I've been more of a bronzer kind of person but I thought I'd give this blush a try because it looked like a really gorgeous rose gold blush. The first thing that strikes me is how small the blush actually is, you can see that the Real Techniques blush brush is actually bigger than the pan itself which is a little weird because I'm used to being able to swish the brush in the product whereas with this you have to kind of swirl it on the spot to load the brush. The product itself has a Union Jack etched onto it, I'm a sucker for any kind of little details so I love that. It's the first time I think I've ever used a high street blush since I was very young so I was looking forward to seeing what Rimmel had to offer.
My thoughts: It's surprisingly soft and pigmented considering it's a high street blush, and just as I imagined it's a really nice rose gold tone. I'm not one for barbie pink blush so I really like this, it's perfect for everyday use because it just gives a flush of colour on the cheeks; it's got a slight shimmer to it but nothing too much. I'm not sure it's totally brought me away from using bronzer but if you're looking for a new blusher and you don't want to spend a fortune then I'd definitely consider Rimmel. High street brands aren't often talked about when it comes to blushes, I think we tend to believe that they can't be any good if they cost less than £15.
