Shopping my Stash #1

Adrienne from The Sunday Girl is one of my all time favourite beauty bloggers, her blog is amazing and she's one of the most down to earth bloggers I've ever come across. Her blog is famous for her amazing photography, informative posts, up the minute beauty news and the insane amount of times she posts (she's been known to do 4 or 5 in a day, seriously). One of the regular spots on her blog was 'Sunday Shopping the Stash', I always loved reading them so I thought I'd do a few of my own because I have so many unloved products sitting in various boxes and makeup bags scattered around my house!! Shopping my stash is supposed to help encourage me to break out of what I would normally use on a daily basis and get my moneys worth out of some of the unloved products in my collection.

(photographing that bottle was an absolute pain!!!!!!!)

Gucci Guilty Eau de Toilette 75ml £67.50 - I believe this was a Christmas gift which came in a set 2 years ago, there's a little bit left in the bottle which I really want to use; the bottle is all scratched and battered from being in my handbags and being taken away in overnight bags but it's obviously been replaced by one of my other perfumes at some point and I haven't used it. Silly really because I do like the scent, this has to be gone by the end of the month!

MAC Opulash Mascara £14.00 - This was part of a MAC set, I used it lots when I first got it then I think I discovered Benefit's They're Real and moved onto that. I know you shouldn't use products after a certain length of time but it's a MAC mascara for heavens sake, it hasn't dried up so I'm gonna get stuck in. It's not a 'wow' product but it's a lovely everyday mascara that I'm going to wear every day this week at least!

CND Vinylux Topcoat and Polish in 'Grapefruit Sparkle' £7.41 each - This is supposed to last a week on your nails and doesn't require any UV curing so can be done easily at home. I bought this at Olympia Beauty in September and haven't used this shade at all *virtual slap on the hand* I'm going to use this right now and do a post on it very soon!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle' £22.00- I bought this within the first 6 months of blogging I think, it's kind of a cult MAC product. I personally regretted it a little bit when I bought it because I don't find it overly wearable, it's a bit on the overly shimmery side for me. However, I was going to buy a highlighter the other day then I remembered I had this! For me it's a product for more elaborate makeup but I'm going to wear this on Saturday when I go out!

Have you shopped your stash lately?!

  1. I really want to try Soft and Gentle by MAC but I know what you mean, it's not a necessity xxx

  2. When trying not to spend 'Shopping the Stash' is such a good idea! I love rediscovering products that have been unloved for months.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in 'Soft and Gentle is gorgeous & I am so glad I treated myself to it last year

  3. I have Soft & Gentle but I don't seem to use it that all that often. I much prefer Lightscapade as it's a bit more natural :) I definitely need to shop my stash - I'm sure I have lots of lovely products I've forgotten about! x

  4. Soft and gentle looks stunning, I really want to invest in one for myself <3

  5. I really want to give soft and gentle a try. I don't wear highlighter all the time but when I do I normally use NYX roll on shimmer in nude, which obviously is on the sparklier side.

I love this idea. There is so much makeup I have that I haven't worn in a while due to new products and sort of just forgetting about the old ones. I think I am going to have to do a shop my stash.

  6. Love stash shopping! I need to tackle my makeup next too!

Just done the shoes - Rocking my topshop ankle boots right now!!
